According to a statement released by the EU PVSEC yesterday, “Peter Helm's tireless dedication and visionary leadership have left an indelible mark on the renewable energy community.” Helm had been its director for more than 30 years. During his tenure at the organisation, he is said to have played a key role for solar energy research and international cooperation.

The EU PVSEC has praised him for “his passion, commitment and expertise, which have been instrumental in shaping the development of the renewable energy sector. Peter Helm's legacy will live on through the countless contributions he has made to the field of photovoltaics.”
